"We were treated to the most wonderful meal last night. The last night of our 3 night tour of Tutukaka. It was the icing on the cake. Michelan star quality food and presentation. The staff were wonderful and we left The Akau Road satisfied by great food, service and hospitality. Kia ora."

"Take a look at this – this isn’t just food; it’s a work of art! This was my first visit to Tutukaka, and I never imagined I’d find such exquisite cuisine in such a small town. The flavors were top-notch, and this rich dinner was the perfect way to end my journey. Huge thanks to the chef and staff for everything they did. If I could, I’d give the food here a 10-star rating! I’m not sure if I’ll have the chance to visit here again in the future, but I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone."

"Came with my young family. The food was superb. I had ‘eggs any way’ (I had mine scrambled) - scrambled eggs are hard to get right!! (I’m a fussy egg person)… they nailed it. My wife had eggs Benedict, the same… well cooked. Both came with a well constructed salad. Oh, an honourable mention for my kumara rosti… I need to make the 2 hour drive back here to have another!!"

"Outstanding Fish & Chips with Salad, Tartar Sauce and Lemon, authentic, non-greasy. A light crunchy finest flavorful batter with a good fish-to-batter ratio. Fish was tender, flaky and moist inside. Their flavorful Chips were not too thick and not too thin. Fish, Chips & Salad were all delicious. Excellent considerate service. Comfortable, inviting, immaculate cleanliness with beautiful views. I will return."
